PokerStars Sunday Million Poker Tournament had 7,415 players enter which put the site short of the $1.5 million guarantee. PokerStars had to add $17,000 to the prize pool to create the massive guarantee. (28/10)

Devilfish Poker, an online poker site, has launched a new program that will help their players travel to major poker tournaments. The new program is called Devilfish Travel and players can earn points to trade in for a trip to the event of their choice. (24/10)

Adam Levy, a twenty six year old from Orlando, Florida, has joined the Star Players Team for UltimateBet. Levy is the fifth player to join the UltimateBet team. PokerTek Inc is a creator of automated poker tables and related software. PokerTek began a poker tournament using their automated poker tables back in January and now has just finished the grand final. The tournament was title the Carnival PokerPro Challenge which saw PokerTek and Carnival cruise line working together. (16/10)
Full Tilt Online Poker Series X to Start in November
The Full Tilt Poker website has announced the dates for the upcoming Full Tilt Online Poker Series X. The series will begin on November 5th with a $256 pot limit Omaha Knockout with a prize pool of $200,000. The series will have twenty five events with a total combined prize pool of over $15 million. The Venue to host WSOP Circuit
The Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana will be hosting the World Series of Poker Circuit in their auditorium called the Venue. From October 24th to November, the Venue will see players competing for thousands of dollars as well as seat to the Main Event of the WSOP which will take place at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas this summer. Another Online Poker Site Shuts Down
As the economy continues on a downward spiral, it seems to have finally reached the online gambling community. A few websites are being shut down or facing financial losses due to economic woes. One such site having to close down is Duplicate Poker. The site had just recently announced their signing of a quarter of a million users, but now has decided to close. (07/10)
Police Raid Poker Tournament during CAP Conference
Poker players and those in the industry gathered recently to attend the CAP in Barcelona. During this time players who have earned seat to a private cash poker tournament are getting ready to try and win the large prize.
