Bolivar Palacios Wins $100,000 Guaranteed Tournament at BodogBodog held their usual $100,000 guaranteed tournament this past Sunday and five hundred and fifty eight players paid the $109 buy-in to compete in the tournament. Amateur Poker Player Wins Canadian Open
The 2009 Canadian Open Poker Championship took place this past weekend at the Stampede Casino in Calgary, Alberta and saw many a poker pro vying for the top prize of $100,000. But it would not be a poker pro who claimed the prize, it would be an amateur online player named Benjamin LaBlond of Quebec. (19/05)

Only five hundred and thirteen players paid the $109 buy-in to compete in last Sunday’s $100,000 Guaranteed poker tournament at Bodog. The top prize was worth $25,000 and it was online player jjjj who took home the first place prize. (15/05)
£100,000 Raised at PKR Charity Tournament
Charity poker tournaments have become quite popular as online rooms as well as land establishments and poker pros are very involved in various charities. Poker players and rooms can use their influence to raise money and awareness for a number of charities. The latest charity poker tournament to take place was the ninth annual Omar Sharif One to One PKR poker tournament which raised £100,000 for the One to One Children’s Fund. (12/05)

Several poker pros have issued challenges this year either for themselves or other pros and online players. The latest poker pro to issue a poker challenge is Dusty “Leatherass” Schmidt. Poker Heaven, an online poker website, recently announced they were launching an addition to their game management tools. The website has added the Poker Heaven Hand Tracker to their tools section and players will now be able to keep up with statistics from every hand played. (05/05)
Absolute Poker $150,000 Guaranteed Results
This past week many online poker players logged on to Absolute Poker to compete in the weekly $150,000 guaranteed tournament. One hundred and twenty one players registered for the tournament and paid the $1,000 plus $50 to compete. (01/05)
