Allen Kessler Wins 2009 Bayou Poker Challenge
The Main Event of the 2009 Bayou Poker Challenge finished up recently and eighty players registered to compete this year. The tournament was a three day event with a $3,000 plus $120 buy-in. the prize pool up for grabs was $221,798 and it was Allen ‘Chainsaw’ Kessler who came out the victor.

The competition was tough and by the time four players were left at the final table they all agreed on a deal. The four had been at the table for more than four hours in four handed play and I guess they decided enough was enough.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed but Kessler took home the most money at just over $70,000. He also earned a gold ring and a seat to the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event. Kessler has now won seven major tournaments and has reached almost one and a half million dollars in tournament earnings for his career.
