The PokerStars Australia New Zealand Poker Tour stopped in Adelaide last week at the SKYCITY casino and a total of 236 players competed in the $3,000 Main Event. The players created a prize pool of $644,280 and the first place winner earned a prize of just over $165,000.

Notable players who made the final table were Daniel Neilson, Billy Argyros, Tony Hachem and Rennie Carnevale. In the end it was Rennie Carnevale who took home the first place prize after defeating Andrew Scarf in heads up play.

The ANZPT is a relatively new poker tour for PokerStars and the events have become quite popular. Adelaide is a favorite stop for many and this event of the tour was a great success.
