This will be the third year that the River Rock Casino will host the British Columbia Poker Championship, this year it will be held from November eighteenth to the twenty-fifth.

The British Columbia Poker Championship will have a week of Texas Hold’em to entice entrants who will battle for the final table and the prize in the events. The prize pool in this year’s event will be larger than in the past tournaments.

Also this years British Columbia Poker Championship will hold a special new event, and this event will be a ladies only event according to Darryl Schiewe thee BCLC acting vice- president of casino gaming.

The prize pool for this years poker championship is estimated at approximately $3.6 million and it is also estimated that the winner of the final table could win as much as $612,500.

The events of the days of the poker championship are:

November 18th : Ladies Only Event : $500 buy-in
November 19th : No-Limit Event : $1,000 buy-in
November 20th : Pot-Limit Event : $1,000 buy-in
November 21st : Super Satellite Event : $180 buy-in
November 22nd – 25th : No-Limit Main Event : $2,500 buy-in
