Caesars Interactive Entertainment releases WSOP 2012 Schedule
The schedule for the 2012 edition of the World Series of Poker has been released by Caesars Interactive Entertainment so players can begin to work out which events they want to compete in. this is the 43rd annual edition of the World Series of Poker and the series will kick off on May 27th. The 2012 WSOP will take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino from May 27th to July 16th and a total of sixty one events will take place. The first event which hands out a gold bracelet will be a $1,500 no limit hold’em tournament and will begin on May 28th.
This event will be followed by a $3,000 heads up no limit hold’em and pot limit Omaha event. The footage of certain events will be broadcast on ESPN and during the casino has added 92 poker tables to the Brasilia Ballroom to fit more players in each event.
Jack Effel the WSOP Tournament Director commented on the new schedule by stating: “This year’s WSOP schedule is very exciting. We’re introducing some fantastic new events while bringing back many successful stalwarts that our players love. We will expand our footprint this year to include extra tables dedicated to cash games as well as plenty of satellite and single-day tournament space so players
will have an easy time finding a desirable game without ever having to leave the Rio Convention Center.”
The most popular event is the $10,000 main event and will begin on July 7th. The tournament will continue until July 16th when only nine players are left in the competition. Then the tournament will take a break and come back in October to see the final take place.
