It was announced today that Carlyle Gaming will be releasing a new poker product called PokerTwin , a Texas Hold’em based poker game, in the near future. PokerTwin is similar to Texas Hold’em but removes the luck of the draw and a player must use their poker skills to win the game. Because PokerTwin is considered a game of skill then it will be legal in most US jurisdictions. Using skill had to be proven before the game could be considered legal in the United States.

PokerTwin will have its own website in the third quarter of 2008 and be launched to United States players during that time. There will be two different websites created for the product. Players who play the PokerTwin game will be seated at two different tables and will be dealt the same poker hands. The players must then show they have skills in poker by how they play the hand compared to other players on the opposite table who are dealt the same cards. It creates a very interesting and new way of thinking in the game of poker.
