Charity Poker Tournament Set for This Weekend
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will be hosting a special charity tournament this weekend. The tournament will feature celebrities and poker players that will be competing to raise money for Cerebral Palsy.

The tournament will have a buy-in of $550 and have $200 re-buys available in the first hour of game play. Poker pros in attendance will be Doyle Brunson and Phil Laak as well as other poker pros. Sam Simon the creator of the Simpsons as well as actress and poker player Jennifer Tilly will be on hand to compete as well.

The tournament will be benefiting the One Step Closer Foundation. This foundation raises money for Cerebral Palsy. This tournament is a great way for poker fans and players to help raise money for a good cause especially during the holiday season.

This is the second year for this event. Last year the event was won by Sam Simon who then donated all of his winnings. Last year the tournament was able to raise $44,000 for the One Step Closer foundation.

The event will begin at 2pm on Saturday the 12th and an after party will take place as well, which will be hosted by the Poker Players Alliance. We hope to see a future where cerebral palsy is a thing of the past,” says Jacob Zalewski, the president and CEO of the One Step Closer Foundation who suffers from cerebral palsy. “We know we are getting one step closer to that vision every day.”
