Complaint filed by poker pros against UB
Just a few days ago, eight poker pros known for high stakes game play, decided to file a complaint against 6356095 Canada, Inc, which was called Excapsa Software which is part of the Ultimate Bet company. The group filed the complaint with the Regulated Industries Complaints Office in California.

The pros state that the owners stole $2 million from them and a total of $20 million from the poker community. The group includes poker players Brad Booth, Tom Koral, Dustin Woolf, Dan Smith and Daniel Ashman.

The group of eight players is asking for damages and injunctive relief and in the process they are citing interference with prospective economic advantage as well as unfair business practices and fraud. An excerpt of the complaint reads as follows:

“Excapsa/UltimateBet did conspire to and did direct, effect, and permit the theft of over $2 million held in plaintiffs’ online poker accounts at UltimateBet” They went on to say that, “by creating and making use of an intentional security flaw in the UltimateBet software” UB “allowed others to or did directly view plaintiffs hole cards during high-stakes poker matches run at UltimateBet.”

We will be following this case closely and report the current updates as they happen. It will be interesting to see if additional players get in on the complaint and how UB will choose to handle this situation.
