High Stakes Poker Coming Back to Television
February 14th is an important day and not for what you may be thinking. Of course it is Valentine’s Day but it is also the day that the sixth season of High Stakes Poker is back on the air. The new season kicks off on the 14th on the Game Show Network and it will feature poker pros and newcomers competing for large prizes.

The show will begin its new season with a new co-host. Kara Scott will be joining Gabe Kaplan as the host of the show. “New co-host Kara Scott is well-known to European audiences as a poker player and journalist, having been the television host of the European Poker Tour in 2007 and 2008,” read a statement from GSN.

“As a player, Scott was the only woman to finish in the money in both the 2008 and 2009 World Series Of Poker main events and only the second woman in history to do so in back-to-back years. She also finished second in the 2009 Irish Open in Dublin”.

Players must pay a minimum buy-in of $200,000 and many top pros will be competing on the new season. Doyle Brunson, Patrik Antonius, Tom Dwan, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow and Eli Elezra are just a few of the players who will be competing on this season of High Stakes Poker.
