Huck Seed Wins NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship
The NBC National Heads Up Poker Championship recently concluded as the eight final players competed for the top prize of $500,000. The first four matches determined who would be the final four and then the final four would compete for the first place prize.

Huck Seed beat David Oppenheim in the first round of matches to secure a place in the final round. Sam Farha beat David Williams to win his place in the finals as well as Phil Hellmuth and Vanessa Rousso. Hellmuth beat Bertrand Grospellier while Rousso beat Negreanu.

The four players to be knocked out in the first round of final play took home $75,000 each. Rousso would be the first to go in final play when she went head to head with Grospellier. At the same time Seed and Farha were duking it out. Farha was eventually knocked out and Seed moved on to face Grospellier.

Seed and Grospellier fought for an hour before Seed was able to take the hand and the first place prize of $500,000. Grospellier won $250,000 for the second place finish.
