Italian Poker Tour Event Won by Marco Figuccia
The Nova Gorica event of the Italian Poker Tour finished up yesterday and it was Marco Figuccia who outlasted the field and earned the €160,000 first place prize. 332 players competed in the event and it took two hours of heads up play before the winner was decided.

Interestingly enough the heads up battle would see two Marco’s going head to head. Marco Figuccia would face Marco Pistilli and it would take over two hours before the final hand would take place. Around 1am two hands played out which would end the tournament.

On both hands Figuccia got help on the flop which helped him earn the win. On the first hand it was Pistilli’s pocket Kings against Figuccia’s A-Q with an Ace high flop which gave Figuccia the chip lead. Then just two hands later Figuccia would go all in with Q-7 and would be called by Pistilli who held A-7. A Queen on the flop would end the tournament and give Figuccia the win.

Final Results:

Marco Figuccia € 160,000.00
Marco Pistilli € 95,000.00
Davide Pennelli € 65,000.00
Adamio Primoz € 45,000.00
Antonino Di MMartinio € 35,000.00
