James Akenhead wins Full Tilt Poker Million VIII
The Full Tilt Poker Million VIII has just finished up and the poker pro to earn the $500,000 title prize was none other than James Akenhead. The poker pro has had a very successful year and can now add this title to his credit.

Akenhead made the final table of both the World Series of Poker Main Event as well as the final table of the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event. Akenhead commented on his success this year stating: “I’ve made lots of final tables but not come first so to win such an event as big as Poker Million is just fantastic. I think I played really well tonight. I trusted my instincts and my reads and I didn’t make many mistakes throughout the whole tournament.”

Akenhead would have to face stiff competition in the final before he could claim the win. Making it to the end of the Poker Million VIII also was Luke Schwartz, Juha Helppi and Taylor Caby, all of which were tough competition.
