The Asian Poker Tour Macau Festival is set to begin very soon and poker pro Johnny Chan has already confirmed he will be in attendance at this year’s event. Chan enjoyed last year’s event so much he cannot wait to compete this year as well.

The Festival is set to begin on August 12th and continue until the 23rd. the Galaxy StarWorld Hotel and Casino will play host to the event. The main event will have a buy-in of $4,300 and side events will be available as well. High limit games as well as sit-and-go tables will be set up throughout the Festival.

Chan will not only be participating in the tournament but he will also be taking part in the filming of Poker King, a Chinese language film that is focusing on poker in Asia. The movie will be filmed during the festival in Macau.

AsianLogic Limited has also announced that The Poker Pack will be joining Chan in Macau. The Poker Pack is made up of top poker players including: JC Tran, Nam Le, Quinn Do, David “Chino” Rheem, Steve Sung and Kwang Soo Lee.
