Online Poker Player Makes FTOPS History
Yuval Bronshtein is a twenty four year old poker player who has made history. Bronshtein became the first player ever to win two consecutive online tournaments at the Full Tilt Online Poker Series. To top off his achievement, both wins were produced in a twelve hour period.

The first event Bronshtein won was Event #14, the $500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament. This tournament had six hundred and fifty four players, and Bronshtien managed to stay on top, winning $70,412.50. He then moved on the Event # 15 the $200 No Limit Hold’em Turbo Tournament where he played against a field of 3,472 players and again stayed on top to win $101,975 for the first place finish. That’s over $170,000 in one day!

Bronshtein is very proud of his accomplishment, he stated: “I don’t think it’s something that anyone will duplicate ever again. That’s what I want more than anything else; to do things that no one has ever done before. That’s why pulling this off meant so much to me.”

Most of Bronshtein’s achievements have come from online poker, but he does enjoy live poker as well. In 2007, he participated in the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em event at the World Series of Poker and placed third winning $109,018. Bronshtein plans to attend this year’s World Series of Poker Europe, which takes place in September and travel elsewhere abroad to participate in tournaments. After all of that, he wants to move to Las Vegas to pursue poker full time.

“I want to continue to improve to the point where I can win as many bracelets as possible,” Bronshtein said. “Like I said, the money is nice and I’d love to win a couple WPT events. But winning bracelets is why I’m playing poker. You can’t buy a bracelet. You’ve got to go out and earn it. That’s what I want to do.”
