Party Poker No Longer Offering High Stakes Cash Games
High stakes cash game players will no longer be able to enjoy this option at online poker room Party Poker. The online poker room announced recently that they will no longer be offering this option. The site will only offer no limit hold’em cash games of $10/20 or less.

The site wants to keep their players and they feel as though high stakes is not the way to go. Limit games of $30/60 or higher have also been cut from the site. Party Poker released a statement on the subject of the changes which read:

“We have removed some of our super high-stake games. This decision has been taken to make improvements to our poker ecology and in our players’ best interests. We believe this change will improve the action at our tables and is in the best interest of the poker room as a whole.”

Since the higher limits are gone, more players will be sitting at the lower stake tables. Players will be able to compete for a longer period of time without losing all of their bankroll. Players can now hit the $5/$10 no limit hold’em tables if they are looking to compete in a higher stake game. The site also offers this stake amount for the Omaha and Omaha eight or better gaming tables.

It will be interesting to see if the changes help the site or see them lose players. We may see the higher stakes players at Party Poker moving to other sites to be able to play the higher limit tables. Only time will tell and we will stay connected to all of Party Poker news on this subject.
