Poker Hall of Fame Changes Induction Rules
The Poker Hall of Fame is a prestigious organization in which many poker pros would like to be a part of. The Poker Hall of Fame hosts an induction ceremony each year and players must reach a certain criteria before they can be considered for nomination. The rules for induction have been the same for many years but now the rules have been changed.

The Poker Hall of Fame recently announced that players now need to receive more than fifty percent of the total vote to become a nominee unlike from previous years when players had to earn seventy five percent of the votes.

The rest of the qualifying criteria are the same as usual. The reason the change was made was because last year Mike Sexton was the only player to become nominated for the Hall of Fame as he was the only player to receive seventy five percent of vote. This was the first time since 2004 that just one player was inducted. So the committee of the Hall of Fame is hoping the change in the induction rules will help see more players inducted.
