PokerStars Buys Mobile Gaming Company
PokerStars recently announced they have purchased Cecure Gaming, a leading mobile gaming software development company. This move could signal that PokerStars will be moving into the mobile gaming market with their extremely popular poker website.

Cecure Gaming was struggling this year due to a ‘weak customer recruitment strategy in the difficult prevailing economic climate’. The company was created in 2000 and they received around $20 million to create their mobile poker technology.

Paul Herman of Cavendish Corporate Finance, the company which oversaw the deal, commented: “We are delighted to have been able to secure a deal for the sale of these assets in such a secretive and clandestine market. Accessing buyers and investors in the gaming market is notoriously difficult and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to meet and negotiate with many of the leading domestic and international players.”

So in the future we could see a mobile option for the top online poker room. PokerStars has not stated they are going to create a mobile option for their poker room but all signs seem to point in that direction.
