PokerStars Releases New Mac-Compatible Software
By: TJ “AceHigh Pino” Gill

Following the lead of other great online poker sites isn’t exactly something PokerStars does a lot of. They’ve definitely set the standard on how software and customer service should operate. But in an age where sites have to evolve and keep up with other emerging rooms, sometimes the best way to improve on one’s own work is to implement successful solutions that others have already used.

Enter Mac-compatible software. Being that Mac computers are vastly increasing in popularity all around the world, it’s a surprise as to why more poker sites don’t have Mac-friendly versions of their software. Online super-powers Full Tilt Poker and Absolute have already rolled out their versions long ago, so it was only a matter of time before another big powerhouse followed suit.

Enter PokerStars. The industry leader recently unveiled its own version of Mac-compatible software for its users a few days ago. InsideBet emailed customer support directly and they did indeed confirm that PokerStars software is available for immediate download on Mac computers. This will be another new market for PokerStars, and it’ll be interesting to see if they promote it as heavily with their television and print ads. The Mac-compatible software is currently in Beta form, so new Mac users might experience some bugs as the programmers at PokerStars tweak away at perfecting it 100%.

We of course think that our online poker guide features the best internet poker rooms available but if you are interested in learning more about this card game then Wikipedia has a number of pages about it, including Texas Holdem rules and hands. They also feature information on most other kinds of leading poker games. If you are interested in poker rakeback then Rakeback.org has it covered quite well.
