PokerStars Website Bans Player for Life
The website for PokerStars has banned a player from participating on their website and land-based tournaments. This decision comes after the player Josh Field “JJProdigy” was found holding multiple accounts online. This is a no-no in the online gambling community. Field is eighteen years old and had qualified to play in the Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure. It is set to take place this Saturday at a land casino. He of course will not be participating in the event.
An apology was given by Field on many well-known poker forums last week. The apologized for having multiple accounts but management at PokerStars still decided to ban him. Many believe that major pressure was placed on PokerStars from online players. Once the story went public, many called the site on their “zero tolerance” for cheating and non rule following players.
Field will miss out on his chance at millions of dollars in cash prizes that will be awarded at the Caribbean Adventure tournament. It is set to take place at the Atlantic Casino and Resort in the Bahamas. The ban from PokerStars also prevents him from participating in any future live events. Hopefully this will send a message to all those players who have thought about breaking the rules or have already done so and not gotten caught yet.

We of course think that our online poker guide features the best internet poker rooms available but if you are interested in learning more about this card game then Wikipedia has a number of pages about it, including Texas Holdem rules and hands. They also feature information on most other kinds of leading poker games. If you are interested in poker rakeback then Rakeback.org has it covered quite well.
