Randy Lew breaks poker world record
Randy Lew is a poker pro who makes his online home at top online poker room PokerStars. Lew decided he wanted to break a Guinness World Record and he was able to accomplish his goal. Lew is now the world record holder for the most online poker hands played in an eight hour time period while still showing a profit. The American poker pro managed to lay 24,493 hands of poker in an eight hour period. Lew was watched by poker players as well as an adjudicator from the Guinness World Records committee. After the time period was through, Lew still held on to a total of $7.63, which helped him earn the world record.
Lew commented on why he decided to try and break the world record at PokerStars by stating: “It was an idea that my team manager had and it seems like good time since I just came back from the Macau tournament.”
PokerStars has a long history of breaking world records. The online poker room holds several world records in the Guinness book and they continue to break their own records year after year. Not only has PokerStars broken records at the online poker room but players have also broken records. Lew is not the first player to have broken a world record at the online poker room.
Bertrand Grospelier broke a record for the most sit and go games played at one time and so he and Lew are now record holders for the online poker room. This is just another reason why PokerStars remains one of the top online poker rooms available in the industry today.
