Ron Paul meets with Poker Players Alliance
Earlier this week Ron Paul met with about 80 die hard poker players who were taking part in an organized attempt to repeal a law that will outlaw online poker. The presidential candidate met with the PPA for about 15 minutes and is their most powerful supporter. Because of this, Paul is the single most popular topic of discussion at Gambling911.com. He could easily win the republican nomination if every poker player voted for him. The PPA also tried to meet with another presidential candidate, Barak Obama. Senator Obama however has proven again that he is way to busy to be bothered by millions of poker players that are registered to vote. Andy (The Rock) Bloch, was also in Washington for the PPA fly in event and was profiled by Time Magazine. The Baltimore Sun also did a piece on poker player pro Barry Greenstein.
The PPA also hosted a reception for about 8 house members. Food and drink were served and a chance to pick up bluffing tips from the pros. PPA Executive Director, John Pappas, staged a panel discussion called "Poker, Public Policy, Politics, Skill and the Future of an American Tradition. On the panel were Harvard Law professor Charles Nesson, antitrust litigator Kenneth Adams, poker pro Lederer, and Harvard law student Andrew Woods, founder of the Global Poker Strategic Thinking Society.
