This past weekend PokerStars was at it again with their Sunday Million guarantee. This week the winner was Sosnoviy from Russia who earned $236,610 for outlasting the field of 7,911 competitors to take the first place prize.

The prize pool was boosted because of the large number of players so 1,170 competitors earned a piece of the $1,582,200 prize pool. When final table play began Sosnoviy held a substantial chip lead and he would never back down. The first to be eliminated from the final table would be Jakelamotta3 and the rest would be history as player after player was eliminated until only the players were left.

Sosnoviy, almaty.kz and shack232 would be the last three players standing and they would decide to cut a deal. Sosnoviy was the chip leader so he would earn $206,610 while shack232 would earn $159,489 and almaty.kz would earn $133,937. This would leave the three to compete for the last $30,000 and since Sosnoviy held such a large chip lead it would only be a matter of time before he claimed the last $30,000.
