There is a new man in town. Well, at least that is true for Betfair as they have just brought in Bruce Stubbs as their new Director of Poker. This is to take effect immediately as Bruce’s knowledge of the poker industry is a valuable asset to Betfair.

Stubbs has been around online poker ever since it grabbed onto popularity. He joins the Betfair family with Marketing Director for Paradise Poker on his resume.

Although as of lately Stubbs has been working on some behind the scenes duties, which include brining aboard Annette Obrestad, he did play an important part of the World Series of Poker Europe as he was acting as Betfair’s Project Manager.

According to Niall Wass, Managing Director for Betfair, “This appointment is further evidence that we are taking our online poker business very seriously. Bruce has an impressive pedigree in the space and has already proven that he can deliver results. We look forward to feeling his impact on the development of our poker strategy.”

Stubbs also voiced some insight to his reasons for going with Betfair. “Betfair is a unique organization that I have admired for some time. The brand values that Betfair extols fit with my personal views on how an online gaming site should operate and I think that they put Betfair in a unique position to become a major player in the online poker sector,” said Stubbs.
