WCOOP Schedule Announced
The 2012 World Championship of Online Poker is quickly approaching and PokerStars has now announced the preliminary schedule for the series. The tournament series will run from September 2nd to the 23rd and sixty one events will take place.

The series will kick off with a $215 no limit hold’em tournament event at 11:00 EDT. Later in the day, a high roller event is scheduled with a buy-in of $10,300. The main event of the tournament is schedule for a few days later and will have a buy-in of $5,200 and will have a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million!

The main event will give the winner at least $1 million, which is not bad for a $5,200 investment! Last year the main event handed out $1.2 million to Thomas Pedersen who earned the win. It will be interesting to see who joins the list of WCOOP Main Event Champions this year!

Each event on the schedule has great guarantees and will definitely draw in players. The final details of the tournament series still remains up in the air but PokerStars is working fast to complete the schedule. The site will also offer satellites and qualifiers so all players will be able to compete in the events.

The satellite and qualifying schedule has yet to be determined but very soon, players will be able to compete for seats in the various WCOOP events. Each day of the series, there will be several events taking place, so players will have plenty of options to choose from. We will stay on top of the WCOOP schedule and release the information to our readers as soon as the official schedule is released.
