WPT and Full Tilt Poker Sign Sponsorship Deal
The World Poker Tour announced today that they have signed a television sponsorship deal with Full Tilt Poker. The new deal was believed to be sought out by WPT Enterprises to boost their sponsorship business after low Q3 results.

The new deal will see the Full Tilt Poker Website receive title sponsorship and exclusive rights to in-show brand integration. This will occur in all twenty six new World Poker Tour Season VII episodes. These episodes are scheduled to air on Fox Sports Net in the US and some will air in Mexico.

WPT Enterprises reported $2.8 million in revenues for the third quarter of 2008 which is a 36% decline from the same time frame last year. This year the company has reported a total net loss of $11.1 million. Full Tilt Poker is currently in second place as the top ranked poker networks in the world. This team up could help WPT recoup some of the losses they have accrued this year.

WPT Enterprises Founder, president and CEO, Steve Lipscomb, commented on the partnership: “We are delighted to be in partnership with Full Tilt Poker and bring together two very strong brands with proven global reach and a loyal network of poker fans. With WPT’s incredible brand value and TV distribution through FSN coupled with Full Tilt Poker’s massive online following, this partnership opens more channels to reach new fans and continue feeding the appetite for new poker content.”

We of course think that our online poker guide features the best internet poker rooms available but if you are interested in learning more about this card game then Wikipedia has a number of pages about it, including Texas Holdem rules and hands. They also feature information on most other kinds of leading poker games. If you are interested in poker rakeback then Rakeback.org has it covered quite well.
