WSOPE Event #2 Won by Eric Cajelais
Event #2 of the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe saw 158 players competing and five returning for the final table play. The event was a £2,500 pot-limit hold’em/pot-limit Omaha event and Eric Cajelais took home his first bracelet after coming in first at the tournament.

When final table play began Erik was down in chips, at dead last. He had a major disadvantage but he fought his way to heads up play against Mats Gavatin and earned the win. Erik proved he has what it takes as a poker player.

On the final hand, the players were still in the Omaha round. Gavatin shoved preflop while holding 10 diamonds-10spades-9clubs-8clubs and Erik called showing his Queenhearts-Jackdiamonds-9spades-7spades. The flop was an Acediamonds-Queendiamonds-
Queensclubs which gave Erik the lead. The turn and river came an Ace of hearts and Jack of spades which gave Erik an even bigger lead giving him a house. Gavatin would then exit the tournament in second and Erik would earn the first place win.

Final Results:

1. Erik Cajelais (£104,677)
2. Mats Gavatin (£64,705)
3. Robin Keston (£47,858)
4. Men Nguyen (£35,412)
5. Richard Gryko (£26,619)
